Club History
Fairfield City Physical Culture Club (originally Fairfield RSL) is one of only two remaining foundation clubs within the Edith Parsons School, the other being Concord Wesley. The club was started by Mrs Anne Johanson in 1961, and has built up a strong reputation in the Fairfield area over the following years, serving as a great place for local girls and women to exercise, have fun and make friends. Long-time club member Debbie West took over teaching in 1980, and remains the club’s instructress today.
Fairfield City is one of the school’s most prestigious and successful clubs, having produced countless winning teams and individuals. The club has also produced five Grand Champion Girls, who have won the title ten times between them.
